How we source our data
CompareCruises compares real, dated cruises and live per-supplier pricing. Here's exactly how we collect it, how current it is, and how our content is made.
Where the data comes from
We aggregate publicly listed cruise sailings and prices from multiple UK cruise agents and suppliers. Each sailing is normalised to a single record — keyed by ship and departure date — so the same cruise sold by different agents is shown together, letting you compare the real price across sellers in one place.
All prices are per-person in GBP and reflect the lowest available lead-in fare we have seen for that sailing from each supplier. Inclusions (flights, drinks, Wi-Fi, gratuities) are captured where the supplier states them.
How fresh it is
Our catalogue is refreshed by automated jobs that run throughout the day. Popular and time-sensitive listings (hubs, last-minute, the current and next season) are re-checked most frequently; the long tail is re-checked on a rolling cadence. Every sailing carries a last-checked timestamp.
When a price changes we record it, and when a fare falls below its previous level we mark the saving. Sailings whose departure date has passed are removed automatically, so you don't see cruises you can no longer book.
How we compare suppliers
On a cruise page, every agent selling that exact sailing is listed with their current lead-in price, so you can see who is cheapest at a glance and click through to book directly with that supplier. We earn a commission from some partners when you book through our links — this never changes the price you pay or the order we rank results in (cheapest first).
How our written content is produced
Reference descriptions and FAQs for cruise lines, ships, destinations and ports are drafted with AI from the underlying supplier and reference data, grounded so they do not introduce facts that aren't in the sources, and are quality-scored before publishing. Factual figures (prices, dates, ship specifications) always come from structured data, not generated prose.
Corrections & contact
We work hard to keep listings accurate, but pricing and availability move quickly and the final price is always confirmed at the supplier's checkout. Spotted something wrong? Email hello@comparecruises.net and we'll look into it.
